On September 16th the Covenant Eagles volley ball team played a trie match on Monday. The first game Covenant played was against St.Joe where Covenant beat them in the first match 25-23. The Eagles showed great chemistry and teamwork which led to to their win in the first match against St.Joe. It seemed as though the Eagles would be taking the win with the way they played, but this turned out to be completely false as the Eagles lost the next match to St.Joe 25-12. St. Joe proved to be a tougher team than what the Eagles thought Covenant player Emily Nicholas talked about the first match against St.Joe “ The first set is the best we’ve played so far, everyone did their job and worked as a team”. The Eagles showed great teamwork even though the lost the second match and their confidence was still high going into match 3. In the end however, the Eagles lost the next match and lost the game to St.Joe. The Eagles May have lost but they showed great sportsmanship throughout the whole game and the Eagles are proud of this. Covenant player Laura Nicholas said “ we played well in the first match, but as the game continued we let mistakes into our heads.” The Eagles know the mistakes they made and are looking to correct them moving forward into the season.
