House Augustine will be hosting a weekly Bible study for the Upper School houses to come together and study the movie Overcomer.

Every Wednesday for the next five weeks students will be able to meet for the beginning of house meetings to do a study on finding their identity in Christ led by the students of House Augustine.

Emma Yeager, Augustine Community Life leader, has been doing a similar study on identity at her church and wanted to bring the same one into the school for students. “I think it’s a great way to encourage everyone to come together and find their identity they have in Christ,” Yeager said.

The Bible study is based off of the movie Overcomer which was released last year and focuses on finding your identity in Christ. The study took place for the first time this Wednesday. It will take place in the Arkives, every Wednesday for 30 minutes with refreshments provided by House Augustine. Worship will be lead by Covenant 7th grader, Elizabeth Thacker, and the studies will be lead by different students of House Augustine.

“I’m very excited to start the Bible study and lead worship. I think it’s a good way to bring us all together to learn about,” Thacker said.
